At Natural Yachts in Marknesse/Vollenhove, you will find a wide range of yachts on which your dog is welcome. Our modern fleet is ideal for a holiday on the water with dogs, thanks to its spacious layout and focus on comfort.
How does renting a boat with a dog work at Natural Yachts? (Step-by-step)
To guarantee the quality of our new yachts and give you a carefree start, we use a simple procedure:

The request
Not all boats in our fleet are permitted for pets.

When making your request (in advance by email or during the booking process), please indicate that you wish to bring your dog, the period you wish to go on holiday, and your preferred type of yacht.

We will immediately check availability for you.

House rules on board
Our fleet consists of new yachts. We kindly ask you not to allow your dog on the sofas or beds.
Please bring your own bed or cushion for your dog to create a familiar place for them to lie down on the floor.

Please keep your dog on a lead at the harbour.

Good preparation
We recommend taking your dog to the groomer and having its nails clipped before departure.
This prevents scratches on the deck and keeps the boat in good condition.
Which yachts are suitable for a boating holiday with a dog?
When choosing the right charter boat for you and your dog, we recommend considering the following points:
Living space
In addition to the number of persons, also take into account the space available for the dog to move around on board.
Getting on and off
Check whether the boat has a low entry. Also useful to know: on the Northman 1050 Trawler, for example, the bathing platform can be lifted up, allowing you to close off the cockpit and providing extra safety so that your dog cannot fall or jump into the water.
One-level boating
Does your dog have difficulty walking up stairs? Choose a yacht where the saloon is on the same level as the aft deck. This significantly increases comfort for older dogs.
What are the costs for bringing a dog?
For the extra cleaning and the risk of damage, we charge the “Bring your dog - cleaning costs”:
Motor yacht or sailing yacht
€85 per booking per dog. (max. 2 dogs)
Electric sloop
€25 per booking (including use of a dog blanket).

Bring your own toys, a blanket or a cushion so that the dog quickly feels at home.

Ensure that your dog sits at a designated spot during mooring or when passing through a lock to prevent agitation.

Purchase a dog life jacket or hire one (if available) from Natural Yachts with a handle, so that you can easily lift your dog out of the water in an emergency.
