The criteria that the jury will use to make its decision are based on a combination of value for money, performance and innovation. The aim is to honour those models that have valuable features, regardless the brand or market distribution. Therefore, there are five categories by length. The Eelex 8000 of X Shore is nominated in the category ‘powerboat up to 8 meter’.
The judges of the European Powerboat Award
The European Powerboat Award is presented by the test riders and editors of the leading European motorboat magazines. The Jury exists of: BOOTE from Germany, Boatmag.it from Italy, Båtmagasinet from Norway, Marina.ch from Switzerland, Motorboot from the Netherlands, Náutica y Yates from Spain, Neptune from France and Yachtrevue from Austria. The winner will be presented in January 2022.

The boat’s internal software: Boat owners can connect to the Eelex through their Garmin captain’s watch or via their X Shore app on their smartphone. Both with the watch and the app it is possible to start the engine with the press of a button. The software is constantly processing incoming data about the boat such as speed, the available range and charging status. A 100% electric boat requires less maintenance than the traditional powered yachts with a combustion engine, and most updates & maintenance can be done remotely over the air.
Electric motor and boating range: This high performance tender features an electric motor of 170 kW which is powered by a 118 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric propulsion system of the Eelex 8000 is completely quiet. The Eelex 8000 can reach a top speed of 65 km/h, at lower speeds you will have a boating range of 185 km. Enjoy the acceleration, the silence and the power of this full electric boat.
Practical design & sustainable materials: The Scandinavian Eelex 8000 has a minimalistic and bareboat design, this ensures boat owners to choose different layout modules. For the modular interior sustainable materials are being used. The deck of the Eelex 8000 is covered in cork which is comfortable, durable and improves the safety on board due to its non-slip characteristics.
