X Shore 1 wins the German Design Award 2023 for outstanding product design in the category Aviation, Maritime and Railway. It is the second year in a row that X Shore has been recognised at the German Design Award . Last year, X Shore's Eelex 8000 won in the same category.
X Shore & Natural Yachts
The Swedish boatbuilder introduced the new X Shore 1 in September 2022, the follow-up to the previously launched tender Eelex 8000. Both the Eelex 8000 and the X Shore 1 are all-electric boats and are built in Sweden.
The introduction of the X Shore 1 will also contribute to the mission Natural Yachts, a Dutch family company and expert in electric boating, to achieve the transition to a sustainable water sports industry. In October 2022, Natural Yachts presented the new X Shore 1 in the Netherlands, during this introduction/trial weekend, visitors could experience the excellent boating characteristics of the X Shore 1.
100% electric boating with the X Shore 1
The X Shore 1 is a 100% electric boat and can be delivered with a top or as an open boat. The boat offers all the technology of the Eelex 8000 and has comparable performance thanks to its powerful 125 kW electric motor. The X Shore 1 has a range of 93 kilometres at lower speeds. This Scandinavian daycruiser offers cruising comfort, powerful acceleration and has a top speed of 55 km/h.
Design Award for electric tender X Shore 1 A word from the jury: “With the all-electric X Shore 1, Swedish boat builder X Shore is presenting a boat that impresses both in terms of power and performance and the high-quality interior fittings that have been thought-out down to the last detail. The 6.5-metre-long boat impresses with its minimalist design approach that ensures a clean look and at the same time offers so much space and comfort that the boat is even big enough to comfortably accommodate two for the night. Compared to combustion engines, electric boats are CO2-neutral and so quiet that their environmental impact is minimal. The more people that switch to electric propulsion, the better for the environment. It is precisely such excellently conceived and designed e-boats like the X Shore 1 that make people want to make the switch.”
