Natural Yachts' harbour is located in the central of the Netherlands, an ideal starting point for a roundtrip of Flevoland. The IJsselmeer and Randmeren boating route is a diverse route where you will discover many different lakes such as Ketelmeer, IJsselmeer, Markermeer, IJmeer, Gooimeer and the Randmeren.

 

With this boating route, we hope to inspire you for a boating holiday with an electric boat in the heart of the Netherlands. Please note: as this route also leads to the IJsselmeer and the Markermeer, we only recommend cruising this route in calm weather conditions/weather forecasts with moderate winds.

 

Welcome on board one of Natural Yachts' electric boats, your boating holiday in the central part of the Netherlands can begin! After checking in, you will boat via Zwarte Meer and Ketelmeer to Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven.

 

From our harbour to Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven is about 2 hours and 45 minutes of boating.

From your mooring on the Ketelmeer, you set course for the IJsselmeer and boat towards the Houtribsluizen locks. This is a lock complex in Lelystad that separates the IJsselmeer and the Markermeer. Once you have passed through the locks, you can look for a mooring at one of Lelystad's marinas. The combination of nature, space and water is unique; it is with good reason that Lelystad has been ranked among the top 10 greenest municipalities in the Netherlands.

 

From Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven to Lelystad is about 3 hours and 40 min of boating.

From Lelystad, you can boat via the Markermeer and IJmeer to the fortified town of Muiden. Here you can visit the medieval castle Muiderslot. In cosy and historic Muiden, you will walk along ramparts and there are many welcoming restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy refreshments and dinner.

 

From Lelystad to Muiden is about 4 hours and 30 min of boating.

From Muiden, you can boat through the fairway to the former fishing village of Huizen. Originally, the population of Huizen consisted of farmers and there was a lot of agriculture. In the 17th century, fishing became one of the most important livelihoods. The fishing vessels used for fishing are called Huizer botters.

 

From Muiden to Huizen is about 2 hours and 15 min of boating.

From Huizen, you cruise to the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk. In bustling Harderwijk there are many monuments, nice shops, there is a city beach, you can enjoy culinary delights in one of the (star) restaurants and one of the best activities in this lively city is visiting the Dolfinarium. The Dolfinarium is located near the Harderwijk marina. You can also cruise a little further, above Harderwijk there are small islands where you can moor.

 

From Huizen to Harderwijk is about 4 hours and 15 min of boating.

From Harderwijk, you boat via the Veluwerandmeren towards Elburg. If you wish, you can make a stop here for lunch, a cup of coffee or a nice walk in Elburg. From Elburg, cruise to Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven to spend the night.

 

From Harderwijk to Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven is about 4 hours and 50 min of boating.

A visit to historic Vollenhove should not be missed during your boating holiday! Vollenhove is a small town an got city rights during medieval times. The Vollenhove marina is centrally located and offers great views towards the Great or St Nicholas Church. Boats longer than 12 metres can find a berth place along the sides.

 

From Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven to Vollenhove is about 3 hours and 10 min of boating.
