With this boating route, we hope to inspire you for a 2-week boating holiday in the Netherlands. Welcome on board one of Natural Yachts' electric boats, your boating holiday can begin!

After checking in and if applicable the extra booked boating refreshment hours, you can cruise to the cosy harbour of Vollenhove, of course it is also possible to stay overnight in our harbour.

From the Natural Yachts harbour or from Vollenhove, you will boat to one of the harbours located in the Ketelmeer. You can choose Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven.

From our harbour to Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven is about 3 hours of boating.

From Ketelmeer, you can boat via the IJsselmeer to the Houtribsluizen locks in Lelystad. The Houtribsluizen locks separate the Markermeer and IJsselmeer. After this lock complex, you can cruise to one of Lelystad's marinas. In Lelystad, you can shop at the Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet, this shopping centre is named after the ship Batavia, a replica which is moored at the Batavia Yard.

From either Ketelhaven or Schokkerhaven to Lelystad is about 3 hours and 40 min of boating.

Just a stone's throw from Amsterdam lies the charming and centuries-old village of Durgerdam. During a walk along the dike, you will pass the colourful dike houses and have a beautiful view on the IJmeer, which is part of the Markermeer. Durgerdam is definitely worth a visit!

From Lelystad to Durgerdam is about 4 hours of boating.

With your electric-powered charter boat, you set course for the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam! As soon as you approach Amsterdam you will pass the Oranje locks, this lock complex in the IJ forms the boundary between the Inner and Outer IJ. It is a unique experience to cruise the IJ completely electrically! Pay close attention to the ferries going back and forth.

In the heart of Amsterdam, you can find a mooring in the modern harbour called Marina Amsterdam. During your visit to Amsterdam, enjoy the many museums, historic buildings and mansions, Amsterdam's canals and its cosy parks, restaurants and cafés.

From Durgerdam to Amsterdam is about 1 hour and 30 min of boating.

From Amsterdam, you can boat to one of the most beautiful places in North Holland, Muiden! A must-do in Muiden is to visit Rijksmuseum the Muiderslot, a medieval castle surrounded by fortifications. The New Dutch Waterline, of which Muiderslot is part, has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From Amsterdam to Muiden is about 2 hours and 45 min of boating.

From Muiden, you navigate via the Gooimeer to Huizen. The Gooimeer is a peripheral lake created during the reclamation of southern Flevoland. Thanks to the beaches on the Gooimeer lake, you can enjoy recreation and swimming here.

From Muiden to Huizen is about 2 hours and 15 min of boating.

A little further away, situated on Lake Eemmeer lies the lively village of Spakenburg. Take a stroll through the authentic fishermen's village of Spakenburg, eat some tasty fish, see the botter shipyard and fishermen's houses and discover more about its farming past.

From Huizen to Spakenburg is about 1 hour and 40 min of boating.

Hanseatic city Harderwijk has a lot to offer and immediately gives you a holiday feeling! The best activities in Harderwijk are visiting the Dolfinarium, the promenade and the city beach. The Dolfinarium is located near the Harderwijk marina. Discover the bustling restaurants and cafés and enjoy delicious snacks and drinks at the historic Vischmarkt and Marktplein.

Elburg is adjacent to the Veluwe, a beautiful nature reserve with the world-famous Hoge Veluwe National Park.

Zwartsluis, like Hasselt, is located on the Zwarte Water. With the arrival of a lock, Zwartsluis became a very strategic place centuries ago with the village acting as a transit port for peat. This picturesque water sports village organises fun events such as Zwartsluis under Sail and the National Tugboat Days.

From Zwartsluis, it is only a short distance by boat to Genemuiden. This town evolved into a fishing town, but also became known for its carpet and mat industry.

From Hasselt to Zwartsluis or Genemuiden is about 1 hour of boating.

If you follow the Zwarte Water towards the Zwarte Meer you will see the Bird island on your right, this is an island where birds can breed. You cannot visit this island, but as you are cruising on an electric-powered boat, chances are you will spot birds such as the nightingale, a goshawk or you can spot a woodpecker as you pass by!

You can moor your boat in Vollenhove's cosy marina. This Zuiderzee town was an important fishing town. Characteristic for Vollenhove are the many Havezaten, which are noble houses with a considerable acreage of land. In the 19th century, many Havezaten were demolished; the luxurious houses that have remained are the Lindenhorst, Marxveld, Haare and Plattenburg.
